DIY Favor – Ice Cream Scoop

July 29, 2012
by

To go along with our shoot, we put together this simple idea for a favor.  It would be so cute as part of the place settings at an ice cream themed shower.

I purchased a nice but inexpensive ice cream scoop like this one (this one from ikea is also great) and stamped a simple kraft paper baggie with this gorgeous stamp from Kristen Henderson Calligraphy.  If your handwriting is questionable like mine, this is an excellent tool to have in your craft box.  You can stamp it loosely to give it a handmade feel like we did, or stamp steadily to give it a very clean, handwritten look.

Tuck a lovely thank you note, a recipe for our boozie floats or a gift card to your local ice cream shop in the kraft bag, punch it and tie it to the scoop with simple cotton twine or a ribbon of your choice.

Thanks to Kristen from Kristen Henderson Calligraphy for supplying us with this beautiful stamp to play with.  Visit her shop for more stamps and hand calligraphy for your wedding and event needs.
All images property of Cotton & Brass and Christa Kimble.  Feel free to borrow, but please link back with love.
