Small Business Shopping Guide – High Street
In my home city of Columbus, Ohio many of our small shops straddle the life vein of our city: High Street. From the very south to the very north this street boast beautiful local shops, restaurants, and galleries. In celebration of Small Business Saturday I’m highlighting a few of my favorites.
Homage :Nostalgia tee’s and sweatshirts that celebrate sports and home pride.
Rose Bredl :A city gardeners paradise with charming plants and home goods.
Cookware Sorcerer :Quality cookware at very reasonable prices. A great place to buy that fancy oil or really nice knife.
On Paper :The most darling paper goods shop complete with wax stamps, candles, and charms.
Tiger Tree :My personal favorite. This store carries small batch mens and women’s clothing and housewares.
Grid Furnishings :I avoided this place for quite some time due to the high priced designer furniture that I could never afford. But learn from my mistake, they also carry very reasonably priced clocks and gadgets for the home.
Royal Factory Atelier :A new favorite with both mens and women’s goodies, many of which are upcycled and all of which are unique.
Sprout Soup :For the littles. Your one stop shop for eco-friendly children’s toys, books, and supplies.
Sew to Speak :Fabric you can not find anywhere else alongside patterns and books.
City Folks Farm Shop :Everything you need for an urban homestead. And the owners are quick to help you become an expert.
The Candle Lab : Purchase one of the 100 unique fragrances from “Dad’s Den” to “Fig” or create your very own scent.
Igloo Letterpress :Buy off the rack wrapping paper, cards, and stationary, or even better book a class and make your very own.
